Aluminium-Carbon Fibre Metal Matrix Composites: A Review

چکیده

Abstract Manufacturing sector always demands superior materials that can cope up with the demand of improved mechanical properties to develop wide applications in diverse sectors. Carbon fibres (CFs) reinforcement metals matrix is excellent improving resulting composites. The present review emphasized on major developments using carbon recent years aluminium (Al) metal as improve various properties. Several aspects (like tensile strength, hardness, shear strength etc.) contributing performance Al-CFs composite have been discussed by covering several case studies. This reveals reinforcing CFs Al increases like tensile/shear wear resistance etc. mechanism involved these also discussed. Moreover, remaining challenges this field and future prospects are detail.
